Tschudi Mozambique recently delivered ten packages from Mombasa Port to Serengeti Breweries in Moshi, Tanzania with the help of Heavy Industry Logistics (HiLOG), representing Kenya in the Project Logistics Alliance.
Four of the ten packages were 5.75 metres wide and up to 4.35 metres high, so an advance route survey and extra low-beds were needed to avoid overhead cables.
HiLOG was responsible for organizing transport, all permits, police escorts, and mobilization of the TANROADS (Tanzania National Roads Agency) mobile weight bridge at the Holili border post, in addition to all port handling and customs clearance in Tanzania. Accompanying the out-of-gauge loads were also 77 x 40’HC containers.
HiLOG team was responsible for organizing transport, permits, police escorts, port handling, and customs clearance.
