PLA Success Story: First Global Logistics and Convoy Logistics Providers Collaborate to Transport Oil Field Equipment from Houston to Alexandria

We are thrilled to share a success story from the Project Logistics Alliance HQ, highlighting a seamless collaboration among members for transporting oil field equipment from Houston, USA, to Alexandria, Egypt, under Ex-Works terms. First Global Logistics and Convoy Logistics Providers, representing Egypt and Canada together with the CLP USA office, respectively, joined forces for this project.

The cargo included:

3x Oil Separators measuring 13 x 3.1 x 3.51 meters, weighing 14 tons each.
2x Heaters and Pumps measuring 450 x 250 x 216 meters.
1x Heater and Pump measuring 450 x 220 x 250 meters.
1x Heater and Pump measuring 220 x 185 x 112 meters, weighing 22 tons.
7x Transformers and accompanying accessories, totaling 26 tons with a volume of 150 CBM.

The transportation utilized three towable RoRo Units, one 40’ FlatRack, one 40’ Open Top Container, and two 40’ High Cube Containers.
