Project Logistics Alliance’s member Nonpareil International Freight & Cargo Services Inc., representing the Philippines, undertook a challenging project to deliver 6 units of used H785-7 Off-Highway Trucks. The cargo was first loaded onto an LCT Barge at the Bataan Private Jetty in Philippines to be moved to the Bauan Port. Here the cargo was unloaded and transferred to a chartered vessel under Hook to Hook terms. The vessel is now on its way to Jebel Ali where the cargo will be discharged. The 6 units measured 10.29 x 6.01 x 4.695 meters and weighed 432,010 kilograms in total.

The challenge was loading all 6 trucks onto LCT barges in spite of the limited working space. In addition, it was necessary to dispatch all 6 units as per the schedule. During the transportation, one of the units encountered a problem. Determined not to leave the unit behind and miss the loading schedule, the projects and operations team loaded the sixth non-operational unit using the ship-side loading method.

This loading not highlighted the limited working area and a safe radius of a crane handling a 70-tonne cargo but also proved the efficiency of the Nonpareil Team. They stand true to their mission of providing excellent logistics service built on a culture of teamwork, integrity, hard work, innovation, and continuous improvement.
