There is little that gets is as excited as reporting of a successful collaboration between members of the Project Logistics Alliance. This time, we are looking at our members Viking Project Logistics and Globe Line Projects that united forces to move a bypass chimney from Turkey to Hungary.
The cargoes were loaded in Zonguldak, Turkey and moved with special trucks about 1900 kilometers to the destination in Kazincbarcika, Hungary. The biggest challenge of this project were the dimensions with 3.5 meters in height and 2 pieces with a width of 4.20 and 2.95 meters.
5 pieces in total were loaded with the following dimensions:
No. | Lenght | Width | Height |
1 | 535 cm | 420 cm | 310 cm |
2 | 535 cm | 495 cm | 350 cm |
3 | 430 cm | 410 cm | 335 cm |
4 | 490 cm | 410 cm | 110 cm |
5 | 350 cm | 335 cm | 50 cm |
Before the transport, necessary road evaluations were made for safe delivery. Viking Project Logistics had to make sure to be on time for customs in Turkey because an upcoming National Holiday would have delayed the delivery. Precise planning and very good coordination between Globe Line Projects and Viking Project Logistics allowed them to avoid this delay and ensured a successful and safe delivery.
Congratulations on this great achievement to both parties. We hope for many more collaborations like this one!
