KGE Logistics Schedules Same Day Customs Clearance For Cargos With Different Delivery Routes

In September 2021 - KGE Logistics, our Latvian member, was nominated to transport a heavy crane Liebherr LTM1090-4.2 + spare parts equipment from Tengiz Jobsite in Kazakhstan to Dordrecht, The Netherlands.

The dimensions of the shipment were as follow:

39m x Width 2.55m x Height 4.00m Weight 48000 kgs +
1 x FTL - Spare parts (counterweights)

KGE Logistics decided to move the cargo on a low-bed trailer with ramps and an FTL truck for counterweights

Despite the above length, the main challenge was – delivering both loads OOG Crane 48t + FTL truck to the customs in the Netherlands simultaneously. Knowing that the FTL truck was driving via Lithuania and OOG truck via Saint Petersburg port made this challenge. The efficient team at KGE Logistics made it happen, and both arrived at the customs on the same day.

The heavy crane delivery was done using a multimodal option (road +sea + road), and the standard truck was moved by road via Lithuania.
