Jet Global Cargo Ltd. (JGC), a member of the Project Logistics Alliance representing Taiwan, has recently completed moving two oversized pieces as part of a project at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG). The shipment, overseen from the factory in China to the Port of Hong Kong, involved finding solutions for challenges related to obtaining approval for the oversized cargo.

Originally intended as a single 27-meter-long shipment weighing 71 metric tons, the cargo had to be divided into two units due to road limitations in Hong Kong. This split was essential to comply with local transportation regulations and to navigate the challenges associated with obtaining the necessary permits for heavy haulage.

The two units had the following dimensions:
Furthermore, gaining approval from the authorities in Hong Kong required operating modules of the same size, which was also challenging. Despite these challenges, the shipment was loaded onto a barge at Huangpu Port in Guangzhou, China, and transported to its destination. The successful execution of this project showcases the thorough planning and expertise of team Jet Global Cargo Ltd. when it comes to handling oversized cargo.
Well done, team Jet Global Cargo Ltd.!
