Santos, Brazil - In a significant development for Brazil's railway industry, a welding machine weighing 94 tons with a volume of 92 CBM has reached the Port of Santos after a long journey from Switzerland. The project cargo movement was completed by Grupo V Santos, a Project Logistics Alliance member representing Brazil.

Special road permissions were secured to facilitate overnight transportation with the assistance of a scout. Given the weight and size of the welding machine, flat racks were used for part of the cargo to ensure safe and secure transportation. To avoid unnecessary cargo handling and movement, customs clearance was conducted on the axle level, streamlining the process and minimizing the risk of damage to the machinery. The final destination for the welding machine was a factory facility located approximately 800 kilometres from the Port of Santos.
This successful transport endeavour is a testament to Grupo V Santos's prowess in handling complex and oversized equipment. If you require any logistics support to or from Brazil, do not hesitate to contact Grupo V Santos today!
