Globe Line Projects And Speed & Trust Together Complete Project Transport Of Boiler and Heater Modules

Drumrolls for our favorite kind of news! Today, we would like to present you with an overview of a project that two of our network members have jointly executed. Globe Line Projects, our member from the Czech Republic and Speed & Trust, Romanian Project Logistics Alliance member, have joined forces to complete a transport of boiler and heater modules for a new power plant for a paper factory in Germany.

The cargo was loaded at Kiskunfélegyháza in Hungary onto 10 semi-trailers for the on-carriage to the final destination in Dorpen, Germany. The width of the cargo required the factory to widen their access door to the facility so the convoy could take off. Even a street lamp had to be cut down to allow passage of the elements.

Upon arrival on the job site, Speed & Trust arranged a 750t crane and another 500t crane for the final placement of the commodities. The narrow space and no turning possibilities were a true challenge for this transport. To do that, the truck had to go backward for about 1.5 km and cross a railroad, since the length of the cargo required space for turning that only the main road provided. This happened during the night because side roads had to be blocked for the truck to pass.

Operations took approximately 2 weeks and the customer had given precise time slots for the delivery of the cargoes since other companies were waiting for welding and further operations. A flawless collaboration between, constant communication and overall epic performance of Globe Line Projects and Speed & Trust allowed completing this project in time and to the full satisfaction of the client.
