The experience gained for several years in Poland allows ESA logistika to reach for projects outside the country. This time the logistics operator carried out its activities within the scope of the extension of the "VW Heizkraftwerk West" plant located at the premises of the world's largest car factory in Wolfsburg, Germany.

ESA logistika was nominated as Project Logistics Provider to organize a complete transport chain for HRSG panels and Gas Turbine components. Below you can read significant highlights of this project:
Phase 1 - HRSG panels
– We are responsible for delivering over 4000 FT steel structures by sea from Alexandria Port to Hamburg and then by river and road to the construction site itself – explains Marek Elias, project coordinator for ESA logistics.
In this point, there is necessary to emphasize PLA network cooperation, where all activities in Egypt (both on-site inspection at the production plant and supervision over the loading of the ship) were commissioned by ESA logistika to a local partner associated with the Project Logistics Alliance (company First Global Logistics).

Phase 2 - Gas Turbine components
– In the port of Hamburg, the H-100 gas turbines (Gross Weight: 190 ton, each one) and the accompanying equipment were reloaded onto barges which then transported by inland waterway to the discharging jetty located in Wolfsburg area, which was adapted for the purpose of transhipment. Afterwards, we again reloaded the turbines using a floating crane (mobilized from the Netherlands) onto SPMT bogies which carried out gas turbines to a temporary parking area. From there, after SPMT set reconfiguration, transportation was executed accompanied by several police cars and experienced engineering staff to deliver this most valuable cargo to the construction site – summarised Marek Elias, the coordinator responsible for the project.
ESA logistika represents Poland in the Project Logistics Alliance.
