Efficient and Quick Resolution in Handling Petrochemical Pipes from Austria to China by Aprojects Austria

In June 2023, Aprojects Austria, a member of the Project Logistics Alliance, undertook an ongoing shipment of special types of pipes for a petrochemical industry from Austria to the Port of Lianyungang, China. Aprojects Austria was entrusted with this ongoing project by a valued and recurring customer, responsible for handling the entire logistics process from the pickup location to the designated port. The cargo comprised 64 cases with the dimension of 17.6 x 2.11 x 2.2 meters taking up space of approximately 2000 cubic meters and weighing 900 tons in total.
Due to the high number of cases and the tight time frame, there was a scarcity of trucks, posing a challenge in transporting the cargo to the loading port. However, Aprojects Austria, with their expertise and extensive network, swiftly resolved the issue by locating a sufficient number of trailers. Consequently, the pipes were transported to a port in northern Europe and efficiently loaded onto a vessel which was part chartered using harbour cranes. The loading operation was completed promptly on June 27, meeting the deadline of submitting the Letter of Credit by June 30. Subsequently, the cargo set sail and continued its journey to its final destination in China, thanks to the proficiency of Aproject Austria's experts.
