Network Global Lojistik A.Ş., a member of the Project Logistics Alliance representing Türkiye, successfully completed the transport of a large carbon steel evaporator from Türkiye to Romania at the end of 2024. The cargo, designated for a sugar factory in Romania, is used in the processing of concentrated sugar syrup.
Weighing 95 tonnes and measuring 24 meters in length with a width and height of 4.3 meters, the cargo’s transport and discharge required meticulous planning and the use of specialized equipment. Network Global Lojistik employed a hydraulic semi-lowbed trailer with a 3+2+8 axle configuration to manage the heavy load. Additionally, two powerful cranes—a 750-ton crawler crane and a 500-ton mobile crane—were used to discharge and assemble the evaporator unit.

Although the journey proceeded smoothly for most of the route, Network Global Lojistik encountered a significant challenge upon reaching the final stretch. The factory was located on the far side of the city, requiring the cargo to cross a railway. Low-hanging electrical cables posed a complication, and while the team initially attempted to lift them due to the cargo’s height, the narrow turn at the crossing made this solution unfeasible. With time running out and the delivery deadline fast approaching, the team swiftly identified an alternate route overnight, navigating through crop fields to ensure the cargo reached its destination on schedule.

Timely delivery was critical, as the client had reserved the cranes months in advance, and demurrage costs for such high-value equipment were substantial. The Network Global Lojistik team’s quick thinking and dedication to meeting deadlines were key to the project’s success.
Network Global Lojistik’s seamless execution of this operation exemplifies their expertise in managing complex, time-sensitive logistics challenges. Congratulations, team Network Global Lojistik!
