C.H. Robinson recently chartered a vessel for 105 empty 20’ ISO tanks from Jebel Ali, UAE to Lianyungang, China.
The full charter originally had a transit time of approximately 25 days from port to port, but the logistics team was notified that transit time would be lengthened due to congestion at the port in Lianyungang. To mitigate these delays, C.H. Robinson quickly reached out to the port authority and found an alternate berth for the vessel to discharge.

To save even more time, the discharge was completed using shore cranes which expedited the process. Tanks were then marshalled at a storage area where they were later loaded onto flatbed trailers (2 units per flat bed). The team utilized 53 trucks to perform the deliveries; a process which took approximately 6 days to complete.
