The over-dimensional equipment intended for the construction of a hydroisodewaxing complex was delivered to the Omsk Lubricants Plant. The general contractor for the transportation was Barrus Projects, Project Logistics Alliance member for Russia and Kazahkstan.
The future complex will ensure the production of base components for synthetic engines and industrial oils and will allow the company to completely abandon the use of imported analogs in production. Gazpromneft's investments in the project amount to over 32 billion rubles.
Columns and reactor apparatus were manufactured by Uralkhimmash, the leading Russian enterprise. In the production of high-tech units, modern chromium-molybdenum-vanadium steel was used, which reduced the weight of the structures and increased the reliability of operation. Resistant to high pressure and temperature, the equipment guarantees the use of cladding technology, the surfacing of an additional layer of metal.
Part of over-dimensional equipment with a total weight of more than 1300 tons was delivered by Barrus Projects to Omsk according to a unique logistic scheme developed during the modernization of the Omsk oil refinery. It involves inland waterways, the Baltic, North and Norwegian Seas, the Northern Sea Route, and the Gulf of Ob. The total length of the transportation route exceeded 9000 km. Special technical devices were designed to move the units to the construction site.
The construction of the hydroisodewaxing complex is planned to be completed in 2022. The commissioning of a new complex with a capacity of 220 000 tons per year will allow the company to expand its range of premium products under the G-Energy and Gazpromneft brands and by 2030 increase Gazpromneft's share of the Russian packaged oils market to 25%.
