R&B Global Projects Ltd, a member of the Project Logistics Alliance representing Croatia and Serbia, and Cargo Space s.r.o., representing Slovakia in the network, have successfully completed a critical shipment for the petrochemical industry. The project involved the transportation of 17 pieces of equipment, including reformers, gas preheaters, and duct parts, with the heaviest piece weighing 41 tons.

The transported components, essential for a methanol plant, were shipped from Bratislava, Slovakia, to Antwerp, Belgium, via river barge. Cargo Space arranged the unloading of the cargo from trucks at the Bratislava Riverport using a bridge crane. R&B Global Projects chartered the barge, onto which the cargo was reloaded with precision by Cargo Space’s team. Once reloaded, the river journey from Bratislava to Antwerp began.

A major challenge in this project was the tight time frame, along with the cargo’s origin from the Czech Republic and the requirement for oversized truck arrangements. R&B Global Projects and Cargo Space had to coordinate the acceptance of the cargo at the Bratislava port and manage the positioning of the barge.
R&B Global Projects successfully chartered the ideal barge for the task, and with Cargo Space’s meticulous planning and coordination, the equipment was transported safely—despite the tricky manoeuvring needed with the bridge crane at the inlet dock, along with the extremely tight stowage in the barge.

The client had set a strict deadline for delivery in Antwerp, as the equipment was scheduled for onward sea transport to a destination in the Middle East. Despite the complexities, the entire project was executed flawlessly, meeting the deadline and leaving the client highly satisfied with the performance of both R&B Global Projects and Cargo Space.
This project is a testament to the strong collaboration between the two companies, showcasing their ability to overcome logistical challenges and deliver results on time and within budget. Well done, R&B Global Projects and Cargo Space!
