Santos, Brazil – Project Logistics Alliance member from Brazil, Grupo V. Santos, is delighted to share another success story - the transportation of a welding machine for columns manufactured in Austria to Santos.
Manufactured by EVG in Austria, the welding machine for columns was intended for a factory facility approximately 100 kilometres from the Port of Santos, Brazil. The welding machine's main body alone weighed 25 tons. The cargo's overall volume measured 170 cubic meters.

The journey began in Hamburg, Germany, where the cargo was loaded onto a container ship. Once at Santos, the cargo was cleared on the axle. This approach reduced the risk of damage and expedited the customs clearance process, ensuring that the shipment remained on its path to its final destination with minimal delays.
Flat racks were employed to transport this oversized cargo. The welding machine's components were carefully loaded onto these flat racks, ensuring that they were securely fastened to prevent movement during transit.
