Altius S.A., representing Argentina, Bolivia, and Spain in the Project Logistics Alliance, is thrilled to share the successful completion of a recent transportation project managed by their Bolivian office. They have delivered a massive reactor weighing 176 tons, measuring 26 meters in length, and featuring a 7-meter diameter to the client's site in Puerto Jennefer, Bolivia.

This remarkable journey commenced at the Port of Zarate, Argentina, where a direct transhipment from ship to barge was executed, marking a significant achievement for Zarate Port. Following this, the reactor embarked on a 2,750-kilometer voyage along the Paraná-Paraguay waterway, ultimately arriving at its destination in Puerto Jennefer, Bolivia. Once in Puerto Jennefer, Altius strategically positioned the Liebherr LG 1750 and Demag CC 2500 cranes at the port to streamline the unloading process from the barge. After successfully unloading, the reactor was transported to its ultimate destination at the customer's site using a specialized 14-row hydraulic modular trailer.
