A 43 Ton Umbilical Cord from the UK to Cyprus: Lavar Shipping Supports Offshore Campaigns in the East Med

Our Cypriot member, Lavar Shipping, coordinated the multimodal, end-to-end logistics for a 43-ton umbilical reel from Hoddesdon, England, via Peterhead, Scotland, to its customs-bonded open yard terminal outside Limassol Port, Cyprus, in support an offshore decommissioning campaign due to commence later in 2022. The same facility will also play host to subsea equipment and materials arriving in the upcoming months that will be installed as part of two pipeline expansion campaigns in the East Med.
