EFS Logistics, representing Saudi Arabia in the Project Logistics Alliance, has successfully completed a project involving the transportation of steel pipes to Al Marwa, Jeddah. Handling large and heavy materials presented a significant challenge, but the EFS Logistics team overcame it through careful coordination.
The Carbon Steel Pipe Project involved managing and transporting 156 carbon steel pipes, each measuring 16 meters in length, with a total weight of 1,259.8 metric tons. The EFS Logistics team’s expertise and deep understanding of the complexities associated with handling heavy materials ensured the safe and efficient transportation of these oversized pipes. A thorough route survey was conducted, which played a crucial role in identifying potential obstacles and planning the best possible route to avoid delays.

EFS Logistics also managed customs clearance at Jeddah Islamic Port, a critical step in keeping the project on track. The team collaborated closely with customs officials to expedite the process while ensuring full compliance with regulations.
The loading and securing of the pipes required specialized equipment and expertise. Each pipe was carefully lashed and secured to prevent movement during transport, minimizing the risk of damage. The pipes were transported from Jeddah Islamic Port to the delivery site in Al Marwa, Jeddah, across 156 trips. Each trip was executed with precision to ensure safe and timely deliveries.
The project was completed on time despite the challenges posed by the size and weight of the pipes. The team’s dedication and proactive problem-solving approach ensured that the pipes were delivered without compromising quality or deadlines. Additionally, continuous updates were provided to the customer throughout the transport, maintaining a high level of trust and transparency.
Our team at Project Logistics Alliance is pleased to witness EFS Logistics’ continued success!
